The Treeview Dolphins are located in Hayward, California. The Dolphins are a member of the East Bay Swim League. The East Bay Swim League consists of twelve member teams from southern Alameda ranging from San Leandro to Fremont. There are approximately 1200 youth swimmers who participate in the league each year from April - July.

The Treeview Dolphins goal is to provide young swimmers with the opportunity for summer recreational swimming competition, in an atomosphere which fosters sportsmanship, team spirit, cooperation and respect of other swimmers and the league.

Philosophy

It is the philosophy of this team:

To encourage good sportsmanship - respect for oneself, one's teammates, swimmers of other teams, parents, and coaches, as well as respect for the rules and officials who uphold them;

To teach sound swimming techniques - personal attention regardless of skill level, with a concentration on swimming basics and good fitness habits through positive reinforcement whe never possible;

To help swimmers set and evaluate individual goals - competing against oneself, measuring one's personal skill development and setting realistic personal goals;

To keep winning in perspective - although winning events or meets is one of the many goals in sports, swimmers & parents become aware of other important goals such as learning skills, becoming more fit, being a good leader and a good follower, dealing with disappointment positively and enjoying the friendships of other teammates.
