So you want to become a dolphin?

Eligibility

Any youth age 18 and under, is eligible to swim for the Treeview Dolphins Swim Team, provided that the swimmer does not participate in an Organized Swim Program (excluding scholastic programs and those permitted under Article 6 of this rule) from January 1 through March 31 of the same year. An EBSL swimmer shall not participate in any other Organized Swim Program (excluding scholastic programs) from April 1 to the end of the EBSL season. An EBSL swimmer with 24 months of consecutive USS experience immediately prior to January 1 shall be able to participate only as a complementary swimmer for that season. Swimmers may swim in instructional/conditioning swim classes (limited to swim lessons and stroke and turn clinics, not part of a competitive swim team) during the months of January, February, and March, not to exceed a total of 15 hours per month total water time during this period. The swimmer’s age for classification on the team is based on their age as of June 1 the current year. Additional information on eligibility in regard to U.S.S. Teams can be found in the EBSL Rules & Regulations.

Priority for acceptance to the Treeview Swim Team is given to the children of the Treeview Swim Club Members. Non-club members are allowed only in the case where a full team roster of 100 swimmers is not met.

Eligibility for all team swimmers will be as follows:

  1. Returning club team members;
  2. Siblings of returning club team members;
  3. New club member applicants;
  4. In the event that a full complement of 100 swimmers is not met,“out of area” will be accepted. The exact number of non-club members accepted onto the team is to be determined by the Treeview Swim Club Board of Directors on a year to year basis.

For non-club members accepted onto the team, returning swim team
members are accepted first based on seniority, followed by siblings of
returning team members, and finally new “out of area” swimmers.
There are no “tryouts”, however our team can only enter 100 swimmers in the competitive meets. Therefore, the first 100 swimmers, based on the above order of priority, will be entered in the competitive dual meets as well as championships.

Treeview Swim Team Membership Requirements

  1. A swimmer must be capable of swimming 1 lap (25 yards), without
    touching the sides of the pool, to the full satisfaction of the coaching
    staff prior to registration.
  2. Dues are payable prior to first practice. Membership dues are $110
    for the first swimmer, $85 for the second swimmer, $75 for the third swimmer and $65 for each additional swimmers from the same family.
  3. All releases, emergency forms, league application and a copy of

    there is more than one swimmer in the family, the parents are e xpected

    meet.

    will not be able to participate in that Saturday’s meet
  9. Swimmers and their families are expected to obey all pool rules.
